Royal Perth Hospital Wayfinding

overview

Working closely with Royal Perth Hospital, MHW Integration recently implemented an interactive digital Wayfinding system for the hospital, incorporating seven 47” touchscreen displays located at foyers and critical pedestrian trafficable areas.

The system delivers a simple and intuitive user interface to provide users with accurate directions to navigate the hospital. Users can navigate by Wards, Treatment Areas, Services. The system provides quick keys to locate common services such as ATMs, Cafés, Public Phones, Toilets and Transportation services as well as an alphabetical search function.

The enclosure provides suitable access for both wheelchair and standing users.

The touchscreen surface features hardened glass so that it is suitable for public access applications.

The system is based upon an HTML5 platform facilitating easy updates and maintenance.
